Open Access

Need time, space and proper studio equipment without committing to a full course? Open Access is for potters who are ready to work independently and want to get stuck into their own projects.

Book a single session whenever you need one, choosing either wheel access or handbuilding/glazing access. Wheel sessions include a reserved pottery wheel, plus use of the handbuilding and glazing areas. Handbuilding/glazing sessions are for making, decorating, trimming, glazing and finishing without wheel access.

These are not formal classes, so you’ll need to be comfortable working safely and mostly independently. Some sessions are semi-supervised, which means someone will be nearby for quick questions or the occasional nudge in the right direction — but not extended one-to-one tuition. If you’re new to pottery, or want step-by-step teaching, please book a class or private lesson instead.

This page is for booking individual Open Access sessions. Regular potters may save money with a studio membership. Once you have joined as a member, you’ll use this same page to book your weekly Open Access sessions.
